Facebook??

I am starting to feel like I am the only one that does not do this. Even my husband is on there every night. It looks like fun, but I feel like I would waste too much of my day on there. Opinions??

You are the only one...but you would waste a lot of time there. I love it and definitely spend too much time on it...even mom loves it hahaha.

I don't get on Facebook either. I have enough addictions on the computer and I am hesitant to sigh up because of privacy issues.

Facebook is like email, someday (soon) you will be weird if you're not on it. Yes, you will waste time there, but you started wasting time when you got on email. Don't add any applications beyond photos and don't take any dumb quizzes and you'll waste less time -- and it's actually a very quick way to stay in touch with LOTS of people.

Don't worry about privacy there -- only accept "friend" requests from people you actually know, and set your privacy settings with whatever you feel comfortable with. For instance, someone can only see me in searches if we share a friend. You can set it that only your friends see your photos, and you can block certain friends from seeing any aspect of your profile. But it's probably best to just only add people as friends when you trust them and know them well.

I think I'm going to have to go friend Kim now...

I'm like you. I'm afraid to do it because of how much time I'd waste. Also, does anyone else think it's just TMI about people's lives? I know I'll come to it eventually, but I'm postponing as long as possible. :)

In response to Lauralyn: It's as TMI as you make it -- in my opinion, less TMI than a typical blog.

I agree with Jessica, way more private than a blog. I love it, but also don't do the quizzes and "extra" stuff. Just the status things and checking friends photos. I think it's a fun time waster. :)

I do it, but I don't spend a ton of time there. I think you could, if you wanted to, be on there all day! I do like the others and just stick to the basics.

Facebook is a great way for me to keep in tough with family far away. Just add friends and family that you really want to keep in touch with. Add all the privacy you want and it is great. It can be addictive but just limit yourself to how many minutes and how many times a week and it isn't too bad. Get on! I'd love to keep in better contact with you.
