First Thanksgiving

This is the first time we have given Brady a plate of food of the same thing we are eating, usually he has snacks that he can feed himself while we eat. He was pretty pleased. His favorites were the turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing. He especially loved the jello.

We have many things to be thankful for, but today I was also thinking of the less obvious things Kim and I are thankful for.

• bedtime for children
• portable DVD players
• Swiffers
• anything I can get through a drive-thru (I'm waiting for the post office to get one, then I would really be in Heaven)
• all-in-one shopping (I really hate Wal-Mart, but I do like that I can get groceries, print pictures, get the boy's haircut, get lunch for the kids to eat while I shop, and get the car worked on all in one place)
• disposable diapers (I know I am contributing to our over-filled garbage dumps, but cloth diapers are just plain gross)
• digital cameras
• already shredded cheese (I can't stand grating cheese, I will avoid recipes that call for it, it is worth the extra $ to me if someone else does it for me)
