Amazing!

The boys had the neatest experience at school. Great Cat Adventures came and brought a baby tiger and taught the kids all about them. Kaleb was especially impressed and told me all about them, many things I did not even know. That day they sent home notes with the kids saying that they raise money by selling pictures of the kids with the baby tigers. Anyone that knows me should know that I am a sucker for that so of course I forked over the $$. I am so glad I did! What an amazing picture. Is it bad that I am jealous? I would have loved to pet and feed a baby tiger.

This is a picture Kaleb drew of the baby tiger, it did not scan well but I thought it was such a cute drawing.

1st Day of School

Kaleb is in all-day kindergarten this year. I got a little teary-eyed, he was completely fine.

Well, it is that time of year again. Now I have 2 kids in school- Ross is in 3rd grade, Kaleb is in kindergarten. They said they had a great first day, Kaleb was not scared or nervous at all. The great thing is that the new school is so close that we can walk there! I like that we can sleep in an extra hour this year, but I have to be ultra organized the night before so that we get out the door in time. I am planning on making lunches, doing showers, and laying out clothes the night before- hopefully I will stick to that routine. I hope they keep their great attitudes.

Soccer Party

Last night Ross's coaches had an end of the season party for the boys. All the coaches are given trophies to give the kids, but Ross's coaches went above and beyond for their team. We met at a restaurant to eat, they brought a cake with the team's picture on it, plus certificates to go with the trophies. They made a little speech for each child highlighting what they improved on or did really well at. The boys loved it. I am so impressed with them, you can tell they care for the boys and had a good time with them. Poor Kaleb. You could tell his coach was a little burned out at the end of the season. He handed them their trophies after the last game, then practically ran for the car. We told Kaleb the party last night was for him too. I was going to take a picture of them with their trophies, but I ran out of batteries in the camera.

Soccer Mom

I never thought I would be a soccer mom. Even when I was a little girl I thought I would be the mom to 2 little girls, and they would take ballet like I did. I sure do love my boys though. And watching them play soccer is pretty fun. Yesterday was the last games of the spring season. I have to say I am a little relieved. After driving to practices Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday and sitting through 2 games every Saturday it will be nice to have a break. Until fall season. . .
