ice day. . . what do I do with them home all day?? We did gingerbread houses and gingerbread men last night, sugar cookies are planned for Christmas Eve, too cold outside (and Ross lost his coat at school somewhere) to play, too icy to go anywhere. Ideas?? Ugh!

Chores for anyone who whines or is bored! lol. We'll prob. make a countdown for Christmas with construction paper. But your older kids might not appreciate that. Good luck!!
School was canceled for us yesterday (fine with me, I heard stomach flu was going around). Anyway, do boys like crafts? I'd recommend cutting out decorations for the house -- snowflakes, or a string of brightly colored or patterned mittens that they can color, glue string and glitter, etc. They can also start making and decorating thank you cards for the gifts they get from relatives.
Sardines and other group games are always fun. And when you need a break and Logan naps, flip on a Christmas video and have all the kids pile up blankets for a snuggly quiet movie time.
Another favorite here is decorating and baking pita pizzas for lunch, but that might require a trip the store (no fun with all the kids).
Create a scavenger hunt for Dad to find one of his bigger Christmas gifts on Christmas day?
Good luck!
Here's one more craft idea, from a friend's blog:

Christmas movie marathon!!! Add some popcorn and my kids are in heaven.
We are doing a Christmas movie, we are going to make ornaments, and then they get to eat their gingerbread houses- thanks for the ideas!
