Circus!!
My mom and dad were nice enough to buy tickets for the 3 oldest grandkids plus my sisters and I to go to the circus. I have not been since I was a kid, and my kids had no idea what it even was! They are so sheltered. Anyway, Ross and Alanna had a great time, Kaleb was not too sure about it. Kaleb can be a bit sensitive or fearful of things so I think he was concerned about how dangerous some of the acts were and that there were fireworks going off at times (we have told him that fireworks can be dangerous, especially if you are not outside, and the circus was in an indoor arena). This is the same kid that made us cover the lights on the smoke detector with duct tape so he could sleep at night. I thought it was great, but different than I remember it. And why do events like this have to be so expensive? This hat that Kaleb is wearing in this picture came attatched to a bag of cotton candy- $12. A bottle of water- $4. Ouch, especially for big families! I am a little disappointed that this picture is the only one out of about 20 pictures that turned out not blurry, all the ones inside the arena did not turn out. Kaleb is in a stage where he does not want his picture taken so I had to sneak this one out in the hallway. Hopefully he gets out of that stage soon! In all it was a very fun day that I was able to spend with my family.

I was disappointed in the circus this year too. But they boys have talked about it every day since. *shrug* FYI: I turned my flash off in the arena and actually got a few decent pics!
