It's A Hit!

Some of you know about the battle with milk Logan and I are having- I want him to drink it so I can stop nursing, he HATES it! I did some research online about what I should do (gotta love Google), this is all new to me since my other 3 kids thought milk was wonderful (still do). The site I read suggested letting them try chocolate milk or milk mixed with a little juice (gross I know, but I'll try whatever it takes). He threw the cup of milk mixed with juice at me after tasting it, the chocolate milk did not get much better of a response. I thought all kids liked chocolate milk, I thought they were born with a love for that junk. Anyway, my pediatrician suggested soy milk, my mom suggested the vanilla variety and said it is actually pretty good. Well, he LIKES it, yippee! I wouldn't say he loves it, but he will drink a cup or two a day without throwing it at me, SUCCESS!

PS- if you notice the wet shirt in the picture, it is from helping Ross and I do dishes- such a little helper!

Yeah! Every step further away from nursing is a great step. Not that I don't love the time I spend with them when they are little. It just starts to get hard when you are ready for a little more freedom. Congratulations.

Amen to what Elena said. Brooklyn was my soy milk drinker. I thought for a while she was having milk issues. It gets hard when you're traveling and you can't just run into McD's for it, but I got pretty good at freezing it and then even keeping it cold in hotels with ice. Good luck with it! (She does drink normal milk now.)

I am glad you can get him to drink it! I got Emme to drink milk by giving her lots of Oreos and only offering her milk, she was hooked!

Yay! Glad you found something that worked. I know it was beginning to get really old for you! I'm allergic to milk and so I tried soy milk and after a while, I realized I have a weird reaction to that...so it's rice milk for me (yuck). Lets just say I work on other ways to get my calcium than through milk! I don't know why I'm talking about me...glad you found something that worked! How strange to like soy milk more than regular milk!
