This has been the typical view off of my front porch lately. Believe me, I am not complaining! We have been in a drought for a while now so we need this. I just feel bad for the kids. "Mom, can we go to the pool?" "Go check outside." "Mom, can we go to the park?" "It's too muddy." "Mom, can we play in the backyard?" "The trampoline is wet and the sandbox looks like a swimming pool." Oh well, they are saying by the weekend it will be dry and feel more like June. The kids will be happy, I am enjoying the spring-like weather.

Isn't life in Texas SO EXCITING?!! The thunderstorms, threat of flash floods & tornadoes, strong wind, etc. Who wouldn't want to live in a place like this.
It's no fun, though, when kids want to play outside and they can't because they'll be killed by the lighting...hehe...
Blaspheme, Teresa! I would love to live in Texas! You don't know how much you love thunderstorms until you don't get them. We get rain in Utahevery once in a while, but nothing exciting. Sorry for your kids, though. It does stink to have kids stuck in the house, though. Good luck.
Elena, I'm with you, I LOVE thunderstorms. This morning we slept in because the house was all dark and the kids did not realize it was morning, and I got to wake up to the sound of rain and thunder. I love that. I think the whole time we lived in Idaho we had one thunderstorm, I really missed them.
